What this covers: Easy wins: caching, CSS/JS settings, image sizing, and layout cleanup.
Steps
-
Go to Divi → Theme Options → Performance.
-
Enable Divi performance toggles like Dynamic Module Framework and Dynamic CSS (names may vary slightly by Divi version).
-
Reduce heavy sections:
-
Remove unused modules/rows
-
Avoid stacking multiple background videos/animations on one page
-
-
Confirm images are sized correctly:
-
Upload images close to the size you display (don’t use a 5000px banner for a 900px area).
-
Use WebP where possible.
-
-
Add caching (one method only):
-
Use your host’s caching, or a caching plugin (avoid running multiple caching systems that conflict).
-
-
Minimize third-party scripts:
-
Remove unused chat widgets, tracking tags, and slider libraries you don’t need.
-
-
Test changes:
-
Open a private/incognito window and load the page after each major change to confirm improvements.
