How Do I Set Up Email on My iPhone or Android?

You can usually access a business mailbox from the built-in mail app or a supported app such as Outlook or Gmail. The setup depends on your email service, not your website hosting.

Before you begin

Have your full email address, mailbox password or approved sign-in method, and access to any required security verification ready. If your mailbox needs manual setup, request the correct server names and connection settings from your email administrator or support team.

Set up email on an iPhone

  1. Open Settings and locate the Mail account settings. On some iOS versions, Mail appears under Apps.
  2. Choose the option to add a mail account.
  3. Select the email service type provided by your organization, or choose Other when instructed to use a manually configured mailbox.
  4. Enter your email address and follow the sign-in prompts.
  5. If asked for incoming and outgoing settings, use only the secure values supplied by your email provider.
  6. Save the account and confirm that Inbox messages appear.

Set up email on Android

  1. Open your preferred mail app, such as Gmail or Outlook.
  2. Open account settings and choose Add account.
  3. Select the correct service type or manual mail option for your business mailbox.
  4. Enter your full email address and complete the sign-in process.
  5. For manual setup, enter the exact mail server and security settings provided for your account.
  6. Finish setup and allow the app to synchronize.

Confirm the account works

  1. Send a test message to an address you control.
  2. Reply to that message from the other address.
  3. Confirm that both the outgoing message and reply appear on your phone.

Troubleshooting

If you see a password, authentication, or server error, verify the account type and supplied settings. If you recently changed a password, you may need to sign in again on the phone. Try your email service’s browser-based webmail to distinguish a phone-specific issue from a mailbox issue.
