How Do I Log In to WordPress?

WordPress is the system used to manage content on many websites. Your WordPress username and password are usually separate from your hosting, email, and client-portal credentials.

Open the login page

  1. Use the WordPress login link provided by your website manager. On many WordPress sites, https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/ opens the login or dashboard, but security settings may use a different address.
  2. Enter your assigned username or email address and password.
  3. Complete two-factor authentication if it is enabled.
  4. After login, you should see the WordPress Dashboard or the section allowed by your role.

If the login page does not load

  • Confirm the domain is spelled correctly and the website itself is available.
  • Use the exact login link originally supplied to you; some sites hide the standard WordPress login route.
  • If you see a Cloudflare or other security challenge, complete it as instructed. Do not repeatedly retry after a block.
  • If you do not have a WordPress account, ask the website administrator to create one with the appropriate access level.

If your password is rejected

Select Lost your password? when available and follow the recovery email. If you no longer control that email address or recovery messages are not delivered, contact support for identity-verified account recovery.

Good security practices

Use a unique password, enable two-factor authentication when available, and sign out of shared computers. Never share an administrator login among employees; individual accounts help track changes.

Still need help?

Provide the website address, your WordPress account email or username, and the exact error. Do not share your password or verification codes.
