Website backups are handled through our support process rather than through the WordPress dashboard or cPanel. We do not support third-party website backup plugins. If you need a copy of your website or have a question about restoring an earlier version, submit a support request.
When to request a backup
Consider contacting support before major website changes, a migration, extensive content updates, or any activity where you may need a recovery copy. You can also contact support if you need to explore whether an earlier version can be restored.
How to request a backup
- Open your agency’s official support portal.
- Select the option to submit a support ticket.
- Enter a subject such as Website Backup Request — example.com.
- Include the website domain and explain whether you need a backup copy, a possible restore, or information about available recovery points.
- For a restore inquiry, provide the approximate date or time you want to restore to and describe what changed or went wrong.
- Submit the request and await confirmation of what is available and the next steps.
Why we do not support backup plugins
Backup plugins can place additional load on a website, store large archives in the hosting account, and interfere with managed backup or maintenance processes. Please do not install or configure a backup plugin as a substitute for requesting a backup through support.
What to expect
Support will review the website, the requested backup or restore point, and any applicable service-plan limitations. Backup availability, recovery dates, file delivery, turnaround, and possible charges must be confirmed for your account. A backup or restoration is not guaranteed until support verifies the options.
Important before a restore
Restoring an earlier version of a website may overwrite newer changes, including content edits, form entries, or orders. If your site collects time-sensitive information, tell support before any restoration is performed.
