Create a New Page the “Right Way” (Gutenberg + Featured Image + SEO Basics)

What this covers: Consistent page creation workflow.

Steps

  1. Go to Pages → Add New.

  2. Add a clear page title (what you’d want in a menu).

  3. Build content using blocks:

    • Heading, paragraph, image, columns, buttons, etc.

  4. Add a Featured Image (if your theme uses it for thumbnails/social sharing).

  5. Set the URL slug:

    • Keep it short and readable (no dates unless needed).

  6. Add basic SEO details (if using an SEO plugin):

    • Title, meta description, and focus keyword (optional).

  7. Preview:

    • Check desktop + mobile preview.

  8. Publish (or schedule) the page.
