What this covers: The most common SSL mode + redirect loop fixes.
Steps
-
In Cloudflare, go to SSL/TLS.
-
Set SSL mode appropriately:
-
If your origin has a valid cert: Full (Strict) is best.
-
If origin cert is missing/invalid: Full temporarily (then fix origin cert).
-
-
In WordPress, confirm Home URL and Site URL both use
https://. -
Clear caches:
-
Cloudflare cache (if you’re caching)
-
WordPress caching plugin
-
Browser cache (or use an incognito window)
-
-
Check for duplicate redirect rules:
-
Cloudflare “Always Use HTTPS”
-
WordPress/SEO plugin redirect settings
-
Server-level redirects in
.htaccessor host panel
(Use one primary approach, not three stacked.)
-
-
Test again:
-
Visit
http://version and confirm it resolves cleanly tohttps://once.
-
-
If still broken:
-
Temporarily disable Cloudflare proxy (gray cloud) to isolate whether it’s Cloudflare or origin.
-
