Speed Up a Divi Page (Simple Performance Checklist)

What this covers: Easy wins: caching, CSS/JS settings, image sizing, and layout cleanup.

Steps

  1. Go to Divi → Theme Options → Performance.

  2. Enable Divi performance toggles like Dynamic Module Framework and Dynamic CSS (names may vary slightly by Divi version).

  3. Reduce heavy sections:

    • Remove unused modules/rows

    • Avoid stacking multiple background videos/animations on one page

  4. Confirm images are sized correctly:

    • Upload images close to the size you display (don’t use a 5000px banner for a 900px area).

    • Use WebP where possible.

  5. Add caching (one method only):

    • Use your host’s caching, or a caching plugin (avoid running multiple caching systems that conflict).

  6. Minimize third-party scripts:

    • Remove unused chat widgets, tracking tags, and slider libraries you don’t need.

  7. Test changes:

    • Open a private/incognito window and load the page after each major change to confirm improvements.
